According to Wiki:
The Silent Generation, also known as the Traditionalist Generation, is the Western demographic cohort following the Greatest Generation and preceding the baby boomers. The generation is generally defined as people born from 1928 to 1945. By this definition and U.S. Census data, there were 23 million Silents in the United States as of 2019.
Those of us from the silent generation were raised to believe in the same values and ideals of the greatest generation. We have all the qualities and faults of the greatest generation; we didn’t fight in WWII. I was born in 1937, so I grew up during the forties and the first half of the fifties. Even though I was too young to go to Korea during the conflict, I joined the Air Force in January 1955.
